Casper was born in Extertal in North Rhine-Westphalia to a German mother and an American father, Arlen Griffey, who was a soldier stationed in Extertal. His family moved to Augusta, Georgia, in the United States, when he was two weeks old, where he lived in a trailerpark. At the age of 11, he moved back to Germany with his mother and younger sister.
Casper nació en Extertal en Renania del Norte-Westfalia de madre alemana y padre estadounidense, Arlen Griffey, quien era un soldado destinado en Extertal. Su familia se trasladó a Augusta, Georgia, en los Estados Unidos, cuando tenía dos semanas de edad, donde vivió en una trailerpark. A la edad de 11 años, se mudó a Alemania con su madre y su joven hermana.
