José Manuel Chao Ortega, known by the stage name of Manu Chao, is a musician born on June 21, 1961 in Paris, the son of a Basque mother and Galician father, Ramon Chao, a writer during the dictatorship of Franco was forced leave the country with his family because of his ideology, leftist and against the regime.
